25 Things That Made My Life Better in 2025

I'm following writer Laura Belgray's lead and reviewing what made my life better this year... so I know what to keep pursuing in the year to come. This is definitely part of my personal end-of-year reflecting when the veil is thin, but I thought some of you might enjoy hearing about them too.
I used to do this end of year reflecting a LOT differently... (peep my past bullet journal's Year in Pixels review below) and while that had its place, there's a part of me that revels in specifics. Juicy details. Not just a color-by-general emotional theme kind of reflection. I also selected DYNAMIC as my embodiment word of the year for 2025, and to me that means being able to switch gears, being ready for change, doing things in a new way.
So here goes, a different kind of homage to one of the most incredible years I've had so far. In no particular order (besides the first being my favorite, obviously):
Getting engaged on our 5 year anniversary
And NOT having photos of it happening, because it was just the two of us (plus Kita) when James got down on one knee. I freaking love the man I get to marry soon, how our engagement went, the heirloom ring I get to wear, and the meaning behind it all - which I'm dying to share on an upcoming episode of the pod after this cherished holiday season.
My neighborhood gym
Anyone else go to LA Fitness in Oceanside?! I've run into old patients, met up with friends, gone on Friday date nights, get to use the InBody scanner for data, and have rekindled my love affair with saunas and conversation. I'm planning to refine my movement schedule for 2026, but guaranteed you'll find me there rolling around on the mats or swinging a kettlebell around doing my ISO flows.
Inside Out Movement with Conor Millstein
Speaking of ISO flows, working with my guy Conor has changed my life and the Being Better practice (if you're a recent client, you know what I'm talking about). Even my dad is receiving the benefits of me relearning a lot of movement, identity, and business patterns (all related). I signed up with Conor's All Levels Group (6 month program where "results" are below) back in March as a part of my DYNAMIC year and am now in the midst of the Graduate Level Group. I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Learn more about my journey, listen to our pod episode together, or join me in the ISO movement here.
Collaborating on meditations with Hulia // Brenna_Inc
This fateful connection with my friend Hulia has been such a gift, and a remembrance to how creative and communal collaboration should happen. Hulia crafted original and unique soundscapes to FOUR of the meditations featured only on the Pelvic Pulse Podcast in season 3. Co-creating the Mother Wound Healing, Becoming a Magnetic Woman, Preparing Your Vessel for Motherhood, and the Sacred Rage Release/Black Panther Activation meditations was SUCH a special part of my year - a practice of channeling my own voice to help others connect with theirs.
Visiting Jessica in Miami in May
This trip to see one of my best friends couldn't have been better. The energy of the city rejuvenated my spirit (where I got the inspiration for the Becoming a Magnetic Woman inspo from) - and being with Jess was the same. She got my creative juices flowing for personal content creation (I started a personal TikTok for fun) and I got to share my hands-on craniosacral/somato-emotional release work with her and make her two of my favorite high protein dishes (recipes 👉🏽 Shepard's Pie and Chicken, Cucumber, and Crispy Rice Salad), where we obvi made content all about it. 🥰
Redroom heels classes at Madhouse
Sorry not sorry for posting more dance content but Madhouse classes in Encinitas have been the highlight of my week. I tried a heels class for the first time in March, took a little summer break, have been back this fall and loving it more than ever. It's where I get stretched into new shapes, try not to get vertigo from all the hair flips, and can play with my erotic energy while hanging out with and hyping up my girlfriends. And yes, one day I'll be brave and actually do the class in heels instead of socks. One (dance) step at a time.
Going international with a HAWT squad
I try to go out of the country every other year (Mexico doesn't count now that James and I have Global Entry), and this year I got to go to Costa Rica with 8 amazing women who are all dear friends. International travel with new friends is no joke, and they did NOT disappoint. They're the kind of women who won't abandon you when your pelvic wands get checked out at TSA. You can read more about the hilarity, the insight, and some of the magic that ensued here.
Function Health Testing
2025 was a prep year for me, and Function really helped me gain clarity on what I needed to work on. I wrote more about it in this Substack article here. One thing is confirmed: my family history of high cholesterol did not skip me, but we'll see about changing that! I'm looking forward to getting another test done again soon and will report back. In case it also interests you to get your 160+ labs done...

Trying out Substack
While continuing to spread my wings on this particular platform is still a question, I have thoroughly enjoyed trying out something new and I'm a fan of being in spaces where people are so creative with their words. Lots of my favorite creators and friends use Substack to share their wisdom, you can see who I read/recommend here.
Sam Zagar's Differentiated Development: Projector Version
Sam's 10 week Human Design class that I participated in earlier this year connected me more deeply to my own magic, which includes learning how I read others best. I've been into HD since 2017 and have taken a pretty hefty handful of personal development courses, groups, and experiences... I'm always blown away by Sam's way of being, inspiring my own differentiated development and embodiment as a truly powerful Projector. Loved being in her world and can't wait until the next time. I find myself frequently going back to my class notes and her potent questions.
This photoshoot at our home
We actually don't know how long we'll get to live here, and while it isn't perfect, it's been the first home James and I lived in and curated together. It's where he proposed, it's where we raised Kita, and it's where I've seen clients for the past 3.5 years. I love this 1930's home and am so glad our friend Jo captured our vibe.
To Be Magnetic (TBM) Pathway Membership
It was my go-to for inner work back in 2020 (and how I swear I opened up my heart, found James, and let him in). I rejoined this past year to rewire deeper patterns and build capacity for what I truly desire subconsciously.

Guesting on 8 podcasts
My goal for this year was to be on 10 new pods this year, and I was on 8 (one not coming out until next year though)! Scroll to the bottom of this page to "More Conversations with Brittney" to check some of them out. I'm always incredibly honored to be asked to be a guest and to share via deep conversation, it's actually one of my favorite things about my "job." Any podcasters out there who feel we are in alignment - hit me up for 2026! I'm open to doing more :)
Teaching 9-13 year old girls about their periods
Another one of my favorite parts of my "job." This feels more like a calling. A communal, sacred duty. I get to guest speak at one of the Campfire Sessions, run by Natalie and Karen at Olivenhain Farms, to talk about the "taboo," giving these young girls the educational experience I know many of us wish we had had before getting our periods. Empowered women begin as empowered girls. Check out this reel for a glimpse of the experience. I'm open to doing more talks like these.
Teaching women about pleasure
In VAlchemy, one-off workshops, one-on-one sessions, or through snippets on social media - I love talking with women about pleasure, our sacred anatomy, erotic innocence, relationships, and so. much. more - I honestly LIVE for these conversations and can't wait to have more. If you've been waiting and are ready to go deeper into mapping, pussy connection, and embodied intimacy, you'll be delighted to know - that a LIVE cohort version of VAlchemy will be coming back in early Spring. Put yourself on the waitlist here.
If you're more of a "go at my own pace" kind of gal, you can begin your alchemical journey today.
Vulva-inspired ceramic art aka pussy pottery
Made my yours truly. I've been dreaming (for a looonggg) time about hosting a pussy platter-making workshop at Raw Rhythm Studio (where James and I go weekly), blending my lil worlds together. Let me know if you're game to make one of these with me!
Kimberly Ann Johnson's Activate Your Inner Jaguar course
KAJ has always been an important figure to me, as she was the person who encouraged me to pursue pelvic physical therapy. I finally got to take part in her course this fall (which just wrapped on Winter Solstice with a sexuality salon with 250+ other women). I'm honestly still processing a lot of what I've learned, witnessed, and tried in my own systems on multiple levels, and am so grateful to have gone through it with my dear friend Kate, and endlessly grateful to Kimberly who has illuminated a path for women like us.
Numerous intentional family gatherings
With three aging grandparents (103, 92, and 86), we've been a LOT more intentional with gathering together and taking photos. My sweet friend euni has been able to capture our grand family on Mother's and Father's Day this year, but here's one of my favorites 🥹 More family photos to come from Christmas (and soon, our wedding!!)
Cultivating deeper friendships with long-distance girlfriends
One of the hard parts about getting older is how your friends move away. I've had at least 4 of my closest friends move across state lines and it's been a deep loss, but wow, has it made me better at 1) processing grief, 2) trusting the connection of the friendship when we couldn't see each other, and 3) following any intuitive internal nudges to text or call. I've also been able to connect with new friends who I've never met in person and have been jiving with all year (on entrepreneur life, To Be Magnetic work, HD, etc!)
Intentional in-person gatherings with local friends
I was invited to join a group of local women to meet regularly on all kinds of topics - the last one was held at my house where we potlucked dinner and I went over everyone's Human Designs. Some of us know each other well, and others I'm getting to know. I've been craving community for a long time, and this particular group of women carry a unique sparkling light within each of them that I'm just so grateful to be surrounded by. These are wise women, and I'm reminded each time we're together that gathering with women like this is wise for all of us.
James' art show
Going to toot this man's horn for him on a side project that brought both of us SO MUCH JOY! James created the wooden frames for our friend Mark's latest collection of paintings. The art was displayed at Brown Studio in Leucadia and there was an art show at Raw Rhythm with a DJ, food and everything. A true community collaboration that came together beautifully.
Serving women of all ages in 1:1 sessions for pelvic healing and connection
The oldest this year was 84! Many of the clients I served were having their first babies, transitioning into motherhood, or navigating the waters of perimenopause. The hours I got to spend working with them, in a variety of capacities, are beyond cherished to me - because I get to witness their becoming in ways others don't. While I don't love sharing "quick tips" online so much anymore, please let it be known - I live and breathe my work. The women who see me as someone who can help and guide them along their path are the center of my universe, heart, and mind. I energetically hold them for the time we get to work together, and long after. I'm so grateful to get to do what I do with them. More coming on new ways we get to go deeper in 2026.
These lil puppy bud vases that I taught myself how to make
Made a total of 8 this year and they are just the cutest things I've ever seen.
Kita cuddles
Speaking of puppies, I couldn't not add our girl Kita to the list. She's been my shadow, curled up behind me in my desk chair or at my feet in the kitchen. Any pet owner will get it. They're just the best.
James' oma (103), grandpa (92) and my grandma (86) all meeting for the first time
My heart cracked wide open in this moment. It was so sweet, simple, beautiful. I'm a sucker for blended family events like this. This was to celebrate Oma's birthday. Not many words were shared, but love was definitely exchanged and Oma looked stoked. I'm reallyyyy hopeful we can get the three of them all together again next year for her 104th.
If you made it all the way down the list...
Thank you for reading and being here, especially since I'm purposefully hitting "schedule publish" for a time I know many will be wrapped up in the holiday things - myself included!
I truly hope this year gifted you with 25 things (at least) that made this year better. I'd love to hear what made your list - write me back and let me know.
With love,
Brittney
